Area K-4 International Speech Contest

The International Speech Contest was held last Thursday evening at the Boulevard Cafeteria. We had four inspirational speakers and they were fabulous. Our own Deborah Cheatham was a contestant and her speech "Work What You Got" motivated me to get out there and "move". You may want to ask for a copy of the speech if you need to lose some weight and feel better! Thank you to those who came out to cheer for Deborah and those who helped with contest duties.

One of the Toastmaster's meeting roles is to introduce the speakers -- and one of the speaker's roles is to give the Toastmaster introductory information. Here's the Speaker Intro Form our group uses. * Toastmaster's Intro Guide [MS Word] * Toastmaster's Intro Guide [PDF] Note: If there's something special the audience needs to know about your speech, make a note of it on your intro form. For example, if your speech is a rehearsal for one you're giving to a group of stockbrokers and it's geared toward that level of knowledge -- include this on the intro form so the Toastmaster can mention it.
